WEEKLY DBT SKILLS GROUP (ONLINE)
WHO: Adults 18+*. DBT is an ideal form of therapy for people struggling with intense emotional ups and downs, such as people living with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, C-PTSD, addictions, depression, and anxiety.
WHAT: This weekly group runs much like a class, meeting weekly and working on learning skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
WHEN: We run two separate groups per week. One group runs every Tuesday evening 7:00-8:30 PM. The other runs every Wednesday afternoon 1:00-2:30 PM. (CHOOSE ONE GROUP TO ATTEND, either Tuesday OR Wednesday.)
OFFICE HOURS: After each group participants are welcome to attend office hours, which is an opportunity for individual group members to talk with the facilitator about skills, problem solving, being unable to use skills, etc. Office hours are held one-on-one (one participant at a time).
ACCESSIBILITY: This group is built with the needs of neurodivergent folks in mind. A few examples: participants are not required to have their video on for every group; there are multiple ways to complete the homework (e.g. listening to a podcast, watching a video, or completing a worksheet). If you have any questions about this, please feel free to reach out.
START DATE & DURATION: We offer rolling admission, meaning you can join the group at any time. Once you join, you should plan on attending for 7 months, as there are 7 months worth of material to cover in this group. Clients with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder are encouraged to attend for 12-14 months.
WHERE: Online on Zoom. (The link to attend will be sent to participants after registration is confirmed.)
